Christmas tree lighting event returns to Cameron Highlands Resort

ITCM, September 14, 2018

The Christmas Tree Lighting event returns to Cameron Highlands Resort. Taking place between the 16th and 18th November, this year sees many exciting changes to the annual event, including its theme as well as the vendor lineup for the pop-up Christmas market experience.

With this year’s theme set as “Santa’s Workshop”, guests can expect a rustic and elegant yet cozy atmosphere with a whimsical touch. In keeping with the theme, classic toys such as wooden blocks, tin cars and beautifully wrapped presents will be used as decorative elements, truly transforming the YTL Classic Hotel into Santa’s Workshop for the weekend event. These decorations will remain on display at the resort until the end of the year.

Guests will also be able to get a head start on all their festive shopping at the open-air Christmas market, which makes its third return to Cameron Highlands Resort this year. Available for one weekend only, a whole new lineup of vendors await, offering a wide range of gift items, from skincare, jewellery and homeware.

Vendors making an appearance at this year’s event include vegan skincare brand Handmade Heroes, homeware brand Bingka KL, premium jewellery label Gung Jewellery, stationery brand PaperGeekCo and many others. To sweeten the shopping experience, festive desserts, warm mulled wine and freshly roasted chestnuts will be available to all guests.

In line with last year’s tradition, vendors for this year’s Christmas market will be donating a percentage of their sales proceeds to a charity of their choice. Guests can enjoy guilt-free shopping as some of this year’s charities include EPIC Homes, Montfort Boys Town and SPCA Malaysia.

In addition to the pop-up market experience, the annual event is set to include a host of other Christmas-themed activities including carolling, gingerbread heart decorating, the time-honoured tradition of English Afternoon Tea with a seasonal twist, the much anticipated Christmas Dinner, culminating in the grand tree lighting ceremony. Amidst the cool highland air and magical lights illuminating the grand Norwegian Pine Trees, there really is no better place to experience the Christmas spirit than in Cameron Highlands Resort.
