YTL Hotels' latest hotel resort in Niseko Village, Hokkaido in Japan, known as Higashiyama Niseko Village, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, will make its highly anticipated debut on December 15, 2020, as the winter season unfolds.

The 50-room resort resides at the base of Mount Niseko Annupuri in Niseko Village with panoramic views of Mount Yotei and the surrounding mountain ranges, offering access to 2,191 acres of skiable terrain, and extensive backcountry skiing.

The property boasts two distinctive restaurants – Yukibana and Sushi Nagi – for all-day dining and Omakase-style sushi, a lounge, fitness center, and a world-class spa and onsen.

YTL Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary of YTL Corp Bhd, acquired Niseko Village for six billion yen (about RM224 million) in 2010. It acquired 496,184 shares, representing the entire equity interest in Niseko Village, from PC One Y.K., a Japanese limited liability company.

Niseko Village is spread across 617ha and comprises the 506-room Hilton Niseko Village, 200-room Green Leaf Hotel, and Kasara Niseko Village luxury townhouses.

It is also home to two 18-hole golf courses and a 155ha tranche of land featuring ski lifts, ski trails, a tennis complex, the Niseko Village Ski Resort and ski school, several Japanese hot springs, and an equestrian centre.

Inspired by Kachou Fuugetsu that encourages self-discovery through the transient beauty of nature and wellbeing, Higashiyama Niseko Village, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve underpins this ancient Japanese philosophy through indigenous tactile aesthetics and unique sensory experiences.

Translating literally to "Flower, Bird, Wind, Moon", Kachou Fuugetsu represents the importance of experiencing the beauty of each changing season and the fleeting beauty of nature.

The evolving seasons at Niseko Village invites an exploration of its timeless beauty all-year-round through its vast ski terrains, outdoor pursuits, wellness therapies, and PURE nature park activities.

The premier resort will continue to unfold a series of unique stories in the lead up to the official opening, some of which, are The Soul of Niseko: Evocative Mountain Adventures, Heartfelt Human Connections, Shun Culinary: A Taste of Niseko, Traditional Wellness Wisdom, The Majestic Niseko Spring Water, The Ainu Heritage, and Colours of Hokkaido: Self-Discovery Experiences.
